Beterbiev, 40, acknowledged that Dmitry Bivol managed to put him in a tight spot during their first fight:
“Before the twelfth round, I felt good. I felt that there were some good and bad moments, but I didn’t have too many thoughts. I wasn’t sure whether to win or lose. In some moments, I did well, but in others I didn’t.”
At 33, Bivol knows that this new opportunity will be his last chance to take the crown from Bertebiev.
“It’s about the moment when you can strike your blow. I still want to be undisputed, and now I want revenge. It’s the same pressure from the outside. This is a little different. I always don’t like to lose, and of course every defeat could hurt me. But I’m not focusing on that. Of course it’s a must-win,” said Dmitry Bivol.
For boxing experts, the rematch between Beterbiev and Bivol will be the best of the 2025 calendar.
